A Permanent Majority

I often look back at the year 2004 with both distain and happiness. Yeah, John Kerry lost the election and the Democrats lost seats in Congress. Any progressive voice in Congress was slipping away. Despite my depression, I could hope that what my mother would always say came true: Good things come to those who wait
Fast forward to the election in 2006. Karl Rove and Republicans must have seen their permanent Repulican majority slipping way. And because of George Bush’s policies that majority may not be the one they want. Oh yeah, my mother always said ‘be careful what you wish for'.

Andre - fortunately, pure evil, such as been exhibited by this ungodly administration, is never permanent.
